about

Harrison Schaaf, Innerflight's prodigy electro-sorcerer, is part of the new generation of rock-inspired dance anthem production. Following in the wake of the French electro disco-house movement and using song structure not unlike Daft Punk, Schaaf creates a brutal new sound that displays the mastery of his sound palette and legion of merciless synthesizers.

1) Harrison Schaaf - This Is Metal
On this first cut, Harrison pays homage to the music of yesteryear with his unique brand of twisted, amphetamine metal that pulls from some of the ill-est sounds of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Industrial bass provides the perfect backbone for this feel-good metal banger, which gets its unique flavor and depth from a juxtaposition of rock and disco sounds for that all-out ear-invasion vibe. Choppy robotic vox, maraca percussion, and rock crash cymbals layer seamlessly over the blitzkrieg filtered synth bass line, while an alternating double/triple hand clap in the outro makes for a turbo-charged finish.

2) Harrison Schaaf - Zombie Outbreak
Summoning the undead to rock out on the dance floor is this powerful electro headbanger tribute to B-movie horror. The onset of the plague is signaled with standard rock rhythm which gives way to flesheating
synthesizers that scream. The steady pulse of the kick drum during the breakdown reminds you that you're still human, but just when you think you've evaded the mob of zombie synths they reappear with a fury of which there can be no escape. The high-energy breakdown makes a feast of your brains, leaving behind a lone cowbell rhythm, the only survivor of this zombie apocalypse.
